National Society of Black Engineers- SDCC Chapter and Pacific Nautilus are building a new team
to enter the 12th
Annual International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition (AUVSI)
being held at the Navy's TRANSDEC Facility in Point Loma. In our fourth year
as an organization and our third year in the competition we are attempting
to place in the finals in the 2009 competition. We are redesigning,
testing, and refining our Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) concept for
the 2009 competition. We need your assistance to improve our standing over
our last entry in which we placed 9th out of 27 teams. This years project will entail redesigning, testing, and
improving on our concepts and designs to improve upon our 9th place finish
as well as adding more functionality. We will also try innovative new
solutions and hull designs.
We are holding
our weekly meetings in the Mesa Library at 12:30 every Saturday
Pacific Nautilus placed
9th out of 27 competitors and won the most improved team award.

You're kidding me. Just one off from going on????? If that's right,
there's no justice in this world. Can you imagine the support some of
those other teams got.
Dr. Dowds
